There’s nothing better than lighting your wax melts, curling up on the sofa in your PJ’s and watching your favourite movie, but what happens when you need to change your wax? Its sometimes a living NIGHTMARE! Have no fear Wych House is here to help, the days at hacking off pieces of melted wax with a knife are officially over as we have the perfect tips for removing that stubborn wax from your burner. Here are just a few that we recommend:
1. Cotton Wool Soak
If your warmer has been on and your wax is liquid, take two cotton balls and let them soak up the wax. Make sure these go in the bin. This is perfect for warmers which don’t have a removeable dish.
2. Let it get Chilly
When your wax is just cooling down and is partially hardened, put it in the fridge or freezer for a short amount of time. This will cause the wax to shrink and be easily taken out from the dish.
3. Slightly Warm and Push it Out.
Turn on your warmer or light it, let it heat up slightly so the wax on the bottom is slightly melted but not liquified. Simply, slide the wax out and give your dish a wipe and you are ready to pop in your fresh Sassy Wax. Make sure as you are doing this method that the burner is not too hot as you might burn yourself.
When you want to remove the wax from the burner to change it over to a fresh new wax melt. Whatever you do, DON’T scrape it with a knife or anything sharp as this can damage the dish or even break it. Use our trusty tips to help you.
